Path of Light is a tradition dedicated to service, both of the community of the Craft and of the wider community in general. The Path is not about being seen to act or take the spot light but to be in the quiet places making things better one person at a time; helping those that need it, listening to those that need to speak, guiding those who are seeking their own path.
Below is the explanation that was written a few years ago by an Elder has been passed along our lineage to explain to potential students what Path of Light does.
Who cares when someone has questions they cannot put into words?
I do
Who cares when another feels alone?
I do
Who cares when told of the loss of a friend?
I do
Who cares when hope disappears with the morning fog?
I do
Who cares that none seem to understand?
I do
Who cares when another sees what they cannot understand?
I do
Who cares when another tries and fails?
I do
Who cares when another's despair stops them from trying at all?
I do
Who cares when the one who is blamed is the one that tried to help?
I do
Who cares when another's work is destroyed by ignorance?
I do
Who cares when others hurt themselves because they do not understand what they do?
I do
Who cares about the sounds of sobbing in the dark?
I do
Who am I?
Anyone of the Wise.
