Outer Court

The term outer court refers to collections of teaching, often from mystery or oathbound, traditions that have been made available to the general public. Frequently these teachings are incomplete, vague or have deliberate inaccuracies. They are made available to give people a feel for what a tradition is about without revealing things which are kept for trained practitioners or initiated students. In some respects this could be likened to releasing demo's or shareware versions of a video game.
